The Zoo-- August 13

Baby Tigers! So adorable!

I realized that we haven't been to the zoo at all yet this summer, so Dana and I went to visit the animals and then went for a swim at Woodlake with Daddy.

Polyface Farm-- August 12

My bookclub took a field trip to Polyface Farm with the kiddos. This pig seemed to be posing for us.
Dana, Andrew, and Alex (left) watching the pigs.

The chicken we nicknamed "Nugget"-- Dana didn't want to get off the truck because the chickens were free range and she was a little worried about being pecked. This guy decided to come say hi.

Dana looked at me and said "Hay, Mama..." I said "What's up?" and she said "Just hay!" What a witty kid I have... Gramps should be proud of how punny this kid is!

Dana's First "Big" Injury

Dana fell while running through the kitchen today... she landed pretty hard on her arm, and we were worried about a broken bone. So, off to Patient First we went. It turns out that she sprained her elbow, and has to wear a sling (which she wants to decorate) and go see an orthopedic doctor next week. We are so thankful that no bones were broken!

This is just SO cool...

This brick is in front of the Emerald Isle Municipal Building. Thank you Butch and Janet (Grandma and Grandpa)!

North Carolina Aquarium

On Friday we visited the North Carolina Aquarium. Dana loved posing with the frogs... she even tried kissing one to see if he was a prince. No luck!

Emerald Isle Highlights, July 23-25

Boogie boarding.

Swimming Lessons

On our way to swimming lessons, I looked behind me and saw Dana all ready!
Clearly, Dana was paying close attention to the lesson...
