Children's Museum

Dana and I took Auntie to the Children's Museum today. Dana was so cute leading Auntie around, showing her around and telling her about all her favorite things.

Lights, Lights, Lights-- Lewis Ginter Festival of Lights December 28, 2008

We went to see the lights at the Lewis Ginter Festival of Lights last night... Dana loved the fairy lights in the Children's Garden. She also loved the trains-- she's just like her Daddy.

Chandler Family Christmas-- December 27, 2008

Aunt Carolyn made Dana a special Barbie blanket... it is so soft!
As if she didn't have enough, Dana got Target gift cards, a "lap-top", and a Dora playset. The Chandler family Christmas was a lot of fun.

Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go...

Once again Grandma and Grandpa outdid themselves! They gave Dana a huge toy barn and horses to fill it, an almost life sized doll, and a beautiful hope chest. They spoiled Chase, Erinn and I as well, and cooked enough food to feed an army! All in all, I would say that Dana's 5th Christmas was a good one, even if she was feeling "a little sicky". Hopefully 2009 will bring even more happy memories, and improved health (boy, am I tired of making trips to Patient First!).

Merry Christmas!

What could it be...?
A Barbie bike!

When Dana got up this morning, she said "Mama, Santa did come and bring me presents! I am a good girl!" She was very excited about her Barbie bike-- she tried riding it all over the living room.

Christmas Eve

Dancing to the end credits...
and posing in front of the movie poster.

This Christmas Eve, Chase, Erinn and I took Dana to see Madagascar 2. Then, after yet another trip to the doctor for her persistent cough, Dana picked one present to open before bed. She chose to open a gift from Gramps and Sherry.

What a fun day! December 22, 2008

Today Dana and I went to play at the Children's Museum, and (after a wardrobe change) to a special Mommy and Me time at the Little Gym. At the Children's Museum I tried to convince Dana to see Santa, but she wasn't interested-- too old for Santa already?!?-- and, to be honest, I wasn't too sad, because the line was MILES long. So, alas, no Santa picture this year...

Christmas with the Kaufmans-- December 21, 2008

On Sunday we went to a long overdue Kaufman/Howerton/Cheely family Christmas gathering. It was fun to get the family all together, and to see the kids playing with each other. Taylor, Tami and baby Madeline.
Lisa, Lindsay, and Steve.
Caleb, Miranda, and Dana, watching a video together.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Dana...

Daddy came home from work with antlers and a red flashing nose-- Dana wanted to try them on and play some "reindeer games".

Christmas Program 2008

Dana's Preschool Christmas program was last night... Dana was one of the most enthusiastic kids up there-- Chase and I were sitting in the back row, and we could hear every word she sang!
After the performance, modeling her new coat from cousin Leah and Peter... thanks again!

This weekend, it was Elijah's turn to celebrate his birthday-- Dana and Daddy went to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate with all her school buddies.

Dana was invited to Landon's birthday party on Saturday at one of those new inflatable places. It was so much fun!
