Jon Deere

We went to Lowe's today in search of sand and a new sandbox. In the top picture, Dana was "helping" Chase with the cart-- she has been such a Daddy's girl lately. She saw a little boy "test-driving" the tractors, so she asked if she could try too-- I told her she had to sit on a Jon De-ah (imagine it being said with a Boston accent) tract-ah.

A Beautiful Day!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to Maymont park this afternoon. We saw the farm animals, walked around to the Japanese garden, and up the stairs to the flower garden as well. Dana and Chase posed in the arbor for the last picture. Don't know if you can see Chase's wrapped up finger-- he broke it last night during his softball game.

Hoppy Easter!

Checking out the basket from the Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny left eggs filled with M&M's, Littlest Pet Shop toys, My Little Pony toys, and Tinkerbell make-up all over the house!
Searching for the 75 eggs the Easter Bunny dropped off at Grandma and Grandpa's house
What a day!

The Hollins Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the annual Hollins Alum Easter Egg Hunt. Dana was, as usual, very excited... she found 15 eggs, tons of candy, and a package of bubbles. We managed to get home just before the rain poured down...

Painting Easter Eggs

Dana has wanted to paint Easter eggs for about a month now... and I have been able to put her off for a while... but I finally gave in. These pictures really show off her new shorter haircut-- she spent about 10 minutes admiring herself in the mirror this morning.
We went to a bookclub fondue party last night-- Dana brought her High School Musical dvds to keep her entertained. Andrew was supposed to be in bed, but snuck out to join Dana. They were snuggled (or "snuzzled" as Dana would say) up together on the couch watching the movie.
We woke up on the first day of Spring Break to RAIN! We had planned to go to the zoo, so that plan was quickly changed. After getting haircuts, we went to the Children's Museum instead-- maybe the weather will improve later in the week, and we'll get to go visit our animal friends.

Busy Few Weeks!

So, it has been a busy few weeks around here, and my laptop died, so I haven't been able to post. Got a brand new laptop, now here is a recap of the last few weeks. Erinn and I met in Erie, PA to see New Kids before she came to stay with us for a week. At our Meet and Greet my friend Summer (in the peachish shirt) thought that we should hold Jon-- and the picture came out great! It was a really great show-- being in the front row at the Richmond show was definitely better than the 7th row in Erie, but the meet and greet was so much more fun!
Dana was so excited when Erinn and I surprised her at school-- I tried to take a picture, but it was too dark. Dana wanted to go right home and bake a birthday cake for Auntie.

It rained ALOT while Auntie was here, but the last day was sunny-- we went and had a picnic at the park before we had to take Auntie to the airport.
The other morning while I was out feeding Diego, Dana made a mess-- on the wall! Here she is, cleaning it up...
Finally, here we are rollerskating-- we took advantage of the warm weather and the extra sunshine to go for a roll after dinner.
