Dana's Pictures

Don't you hate it when you finally remember to take a single-use camera to the 1-hour photo, forget about it for about a week, then finally bring the pictures home, but misplace the CD?! Anyway, here are some pictures that Dana took with her camera on our trip to California and around the house. Feeding the ducks near Gramps and Sherrys'...
On a ride at Disney Land (yes, she got me in the picture too).
On the same ride-- that is Prince Eric's ship and castle.
That is Shamu and a friend at Sea World... notice that one whale is swimming upside down... she was so fascinated by that!
Cousin Matthew (and Aunt Carole and Uncle Tom) at Leah's post-wedding brunch. I don't think that he thought that she'd really take his picture.
And this is Caleb, the clydesdale-- she took several pictures of her animal friends, but this one was the only one that came out clearly.

Saying goodbye to summer...

As has become our tradition, we went to Bruster's to say goodbye to summer tonight. Mama and Dana go back to school on Tuesday...
So long to the free baby cones!

After devouring her own cone, Dana kept asking Daddy for licks of his.
Finally, she just took it and polished it off for him!

A Melee of Munching Melmans (giraffes)

Dana and I visited the zoo again yesterday... she has become so comfortable with the giraffes, she actually helped another little girl, and comforted her when she was scared.

The Richmond Braves

We went to see the Richmond Braves play last night-- and found out after we arrived that we had missed Elliot Yamin singing the National Anthem (again!).
Santa likes the Richmond Braves? Who knew? Amazingly, once Dana saw him, she was on her "best behavior"!

Busch Gardens August 10, 2008

Daddy, showing his strength...

...on the teacups with Grandma and Daddy...

...posing with Chip, the clydesdale.
We went to Busch Gardens today with Grandma and Grandpa. Dana was so excited to show Grandma, Grandpa and Daddy around, introduce them to the Clydesdales, and ride some rides! Daddy even won a prize by demonstrating his physical prowess.

Who Needs a Water Park?

Splashdown!

Busy Monday-- Monday, August 4th

Sports Skills class at Little Gym-- Dana is on the left. She always sticks close to Mr. Josh.
"Trapped" in the big bubble at the park...
While Dana and I enjoyed our picnic at the park, this squirrel kept climbing into the trash can looking for goodies. He pulled out some watermelon and chowed down, but my camera batteries died!

My Little Photographer

Dana has taken quite an interest in photography lately-- she took pictures during our trip to California, and they were pretty good! The other day she insisted that I take pictures of her taking pictures-- and that she dress up to do it. Can anyone guess what she'll be getting for her birthday?
