We decided that it was finally time to take Dana to get her first haircut-- it was starting to get so long! Before-- you can't really see the length in this picture, because the wind kept blowing as I took the picture... you can really see how long Dana's hair was in the previous posts. After-- looking a little older and certainly more clean cut.
Posing with the HUGE basket of goodies the Easter Bunny left at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Hunting again-- and yes, she is wearing a helmet and pads, because she wanted to ride her Dora 4-Wheeler until she noticed the eggs! Dana knocked down a "tree" after our walk to her garden-- she is so strong!
We took Dana to this special Easter Egg hunt for Hollins Alumnae two years ago, when she was about 18 months old. She was more interested in running around than in hunting eggs. Last year, it was snowed out! Today Dana was more than ready! As the Easter Bunny gathered the children around Dana said "I want to go first!" And once the hunt began, a toy caught her eye, and she went straight for it.
Just look at the concentration on her face... Dana had such a great time at her Easter party and egg hunt on Thursday-- she and Caleb "hunted" for eggs together-- they do make such a cute couple!
We took Dana to Woodlake (aka Daddy's work) for the first of several scheduled Easter Egg Hunts on Saturday. Dana found 6 eggs, then decided it was time to play on the playground.
To celebrate daylight savings time, we took Diego for a walk, and Dana tried out her roller skates (for about 10 minutes!). It was still a bit chilly, but we loved the extra sunshine!
Dana and I decided to surprise Erinn with a birthday cake-- so Dana picked out a white cake, pink strawberry icing, green sprinkles and Care Bear fruit snacks. Yum!
Dana and I were invited to another student's birthday party this weekend-- this one was a roller skating party. We got a pair of Dora skates, "skated" around the rink two and a half times, then she was done. She said she loves rollerskating-- I guess that if it ever gets warmer around here we'll be outside skating all the time! Dana wore my old roller skate barrettes in her hair-- she picked out her whole outfit around them.
