Last Days of Summer

To celebrate the last days of summer, we drove down to Emerald Isle, North Carolina to join Grandma and Grandpa and their friends Mindy and Sherry from Ohio for a weekend at the beach!
I think that Daddy and Grandpa had more fun playing with all of Dana's new sand toys than she did!
Daddy made Oswald the Ocotopus (or a sun)...
... he lasted about 10 minutes, before Dana the destroyer pounced!

Soccer!

Today was Dana's first day of soccer... despite the 90 degree weather, we had fun... don't you love the ball she picked?

First Day of School-- Tuesday, September 2nd

Tuesday was Dana's first day at her "super-cool" new school. She is staying all day for preschool. The first 2 pictures are at the front door. The last one is at her new school-- a pair of boys were getting their pictures taken too, and they were doing "silly faces", so this was Dana's silly face.
So far, she seems to love her school-- we have heard about a few new friends, and she has been FILTHY when I pick her up-- always a sign that she is having fun!

Daddy's Little Shadow

Daddy had to fix a few nails on the fence, so Dana ran to get her hammer to help.
That led to yelling "hi" and waving to cars driving by on Luck's Lane... a few people even honked at her :)

A last summer swim...

We went to visit Daddy at work, and take a last swim-- man, that water was SO COLD!
